HORIZON-JU-CBE-2024-IA-06: Innovative bio-based adhesives and binders for circular products meeting market requirements - Advanced Materials Research Group
- Type of project: Innovation Action
- Deadline date: 18 September 2024
ABOUT US
Advanced Materials Research Group of Łukasiewicz Research Network – The Institute of Heavy Organic Synthesis
"Blachownia" specializes in:
- developing technologies for producing and modifying epoxy, phenolic and lignin resins,
- developing technologies for manufacturing polyurethanes (isocyanate and non-isocyanate),
- modification and processing of materials based on thermoplastic polymers, such as polyolefins or PVC,
as well as biobased plastics like PLA or polysaccharides, - biobased coatings formulations,
- development of recipes for new kinds of fiber-reinforced, multi-material and high-filled composites,
- plastics recycling.
OUR IDEA
Within the scope of the Call we propose development of formaldehyde-free, lignin-based binder compositions for
indoor wood panels with improved health and safety profile compared to existing market products. Another idea
is to develop bio-based, non-isocyanate polyurethane (NIPU) adhesives with improved sustainability and
enhanced technical performance.
