Specialty Chemistry Research Group

The activities of the group include technologies for specialty products for various industries. The scope of specialization includes:

Packaging Industry:

Technologies for producing dispersions based on natural waxes for use in the packaging industry.

Colloid Chemistry:

Development of micro and nano-encapsulated systems.
Technologies for obtaining functionalized nanomaterials: carbon-based and silica-based.

Energy Sector:

Synthesis and testing of anti-corrosion and anti-scaling agents for water-steam circuits in heating and cooling water systems.
Selection of corrosion inhibitors for technological fluids.

Machinery and Metallurgy Industry:

Technologies for testing biodegradable lubricants: compositions, greases, oils, and additive packages.
Production of flame-resistant hydraulic fluids and lubricating-cooling fluids used in the machinery and metal industries, including emulsions, microemulsions/nanoemulsions, and solutions.
Development of recipes for microemulsion concentrates for producing technological fluids (hydraulic and machining fluids).
Evaluation of technological fluid properties.

Wood-based Panel Industry:

Production of formaldehyde-free melamine resins for various applications.
Production of hardeners, wetting agents, anti-dust agents, and separating agents (partitioning).

Automotive Industry:

Synthesis and testing of low-freezing fluids used in the automotive and aerospace industries and in installation systems.
Development of cooling fluid recipes for various types of electronic systems.
