dr hab. Iwona Szwach
Director

Dr hab. Iwona Szwach graduated from the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection at University of Silesia in Katowice with MSc degree in biology. In the same year she has started work in the Surfactant Department of the Institute of Heavy Organic Synthesis "Blachownia". In 2000 she got a PhD in Technical Sciences.

Dr Szwach is the co-author of 22 publications, 35 lectures, 6 implementations and 69 reports. She specializes in ecotoxicological research and environmental protection related analyses. She also has the experience in cooperation and project management.  Dr Szwach has been realizing various kinds of projects: research, own, targeted and investment ones. During her work in the Institute she has been the manager of Biodegradation Evaluation Team and the manager of the laboratory accredited by the Polish Centre for Testing and Certification. From 1st March 2005 till 31st August 2010 she was the manager of Analytical Department. Since October 2010 she acts as Deputy Managing Director for Research and Development.  She is a Member of the Research Units Evaluation Committee, Member of the Board of Experts for Evaluation of Proposals at the Ministry of Science and Higher Education and Member of the Scientific Council of the Textile Research Institute in Łódź. Currently she is a vice-chairwoman of Institute of Environmental Engineering of the Polish Academy of Sciences Scientific Council, member of CEN/TC19/WG33 European Committee for Normalization, Main Technical Organization expert. Starting  April 21st 2021, she is a member of newly founded Social Council of Silesian University of Technology. She became Director of Łukasiewicz - ICSO "Blachownia" April 1st 2020.

 

Mgr Bożena Kamińska
Chief Accountant

Mgr Bożena Kamińska started to work for the Institute of Heavy Organic Synthesis "Blachownia" in 1986, since April 2005 she has been holding the position of Chief Accountant of ICSO. She graduated  with an M.A. in Enterprises Finance and Accounting, and post-graduate studies in Accounting and Financial Control.
In 2008 she received an Accountiant Certificate issued by the Minister of Finance. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Dr inż. Renata Kulesza
Director of the Analytical Research Center

 Dr inż. Renata Kulesza graduated in 1992 from Faculty of Chemical Engineering and Technology at Cracow University of Technology with MSc degree in chemical technology. After the studies she worked at State Sanitary Inspectorate (Special Test Section). In 2003 she received PhD degree in technical sciences and started working in ICSO “Blachownia” (Analytical Department). In 2007 she finished postgraduate courses in Project Management at WSB University and Quality management in accordance with international standards at Silesian University of Technology. She is co-author of 28 publications, 73 lectures and 7 patents. She specializes in analytical chemistry and chemical engineering. She was the initiator and manager of Opolskie Region Platform for Technological Innovation (Polish abbreviation PITRO). From 2010 to 2022 she was the manager of Analytical Department/leader of Analytics Research Group. She is the auditor for Quality Assurance System and unit manager in Good Laboratory Practice system. For two terms she served as the vice-chairman of ICSO “Blachownia” Scientific Council. Awarded with badge of honor “For services to the Opolskie Voivodeship”. Member of Polish Chemical Society and Polish Society of Chemists Cosmetologists. Starting 1st July 2022 she holds the position of Director of the Analytical Research Center.

dr hab. Stanisław Kudła
Director of the Technologies and Circular Economy Center

 Dr. hab. Stanisław Kudła graduated from Faculty of Mathematic, Physics and Chemistry at University of Wrocław with MSc degree in chemistry. In the same year he started work in Acrylic Compounds Team of the Institute of Heavy Organic Synthesis “Blachownia”. In 1995 he received a PhD degree in Chemical Sciences (Faculty of Chemistry, Jagiellonian University). In 2018 he received the post-doctoral degree in Chemical Technology through the Act of Cracow University of Technology Faculty for Engineering and Chemical Technology.
He is the author or co-author of 31 publications and more than 70 patents. He also was the manager in many research projects, including the ones realized by scientific-industrial consortia within Innotech and In-Tech programmes. He specializes in polymers and plastics chemistry and technology, especially polyolefin plastics, including their recycling. From 1995 to 2013 he was the manager of Polyolefins Department. For a few terms, he was also the member of Scientific Council of the Institute. Starting 1st December 2021 he holds the position of Director of the Technologies and Circular Economy Center.
