About the project:
The main target of this project was the extension of the research potential of the Institute through establishment of a specialized laboratory of synthesis processes of modern and ecological auxiliary agents for industry and equipment with laboratory appliances necessary for conducting oxidation processes of raw materials, i.e. vegetable oils, with the purpose of obtaining a number of auxiliary agents.
The subject of the project was the establishment of the laboratory of synthesis processes of modern and ecological auxiliary agents on the basis of renewable raw materials, on the territory of the ICSO "Blachownia". The laboratory is situated in one of ICSO's buildings. The existing accommodation was modernized in the purpose of enabling research conduction in laboratory and semi-technical scale. The laboratory part, which consists of 3 research rooms, is now equipped with the following research apparatus: reactionary calorimeter with the necessary instrumentation and size measuring apparatus for particles, particle mass and zeta potential of particles and of dispergated in solution molecules. The part for conducting research in the semi-technical scale was adjusted to this scale. The described laboratory conducts research on modifying renewable raw materials, optimizing chemical processes and effective utilization of those raw materials which can be applied in various industrial branches, mostly in food industry, but also in paper, mechanical and machine cutting industries.
