About the project:

The main goal of this project was to expand  ICSO's activity towards research into plastics, and thus increase its R&D offer to meet the needs of the region's economy and encourage entrepreneurs from the manufacturing and plastics sectors to use the innovative results that ICSO offers as a factor in the development of their businesses. This was achieved by building a modern facility which will carry out R&D tasks, including issues associated with the manufacturing of plastics, their modification and determination of their properties including the preparation of pilot lots of newly developed varieties of plastics.

The project was addressed primarily to companies in Opole Voivodeship involved in the production of plastics, especially those based on thermoplastic polymers e.g. polyolefin, its processing and the manufacture of finished products from these materials through the development of innovative technologies in this field. The issues related to technology generation and modification of plastics, as well as the determination of their properties, is one of the specializations developed for many years in the R&D activities of ICSO. This project continued and expanded the activities in this field.
