"Fatty acids methyl esters ethoxylates as non-ionic surfactants"

Project was executed in 1998-2001 in co-operation with Graz University (Austria) and Agricultural Research Council in Prague.

The project aimed at introduction of ethoxylated fatty acid methyl esters as new surfactants in the detergent industry. Fatty acid methyl ester ethoxylates (FAMEE-s) can compete with the fatty alcohol derivatives, based on shorter life cycle of the product and lower manufacturing costs. Ethoxylation of fatty acid methyl esters can be performed with special catalysts in existing conventional ethoxylation plants, without additional investments.
