Polymer composite manufacturing processes

Technology characteristics:

A composite is a material consisting of at least two components with different properties. The manufacturing processes of polymer composites are mainly carried out in extruders. It is possible to develop a process for the manufacture of a variety of polymer composites, characterised by assumed properties, which are then used as intermediates in end-product manufacturing technologies.

Product application:

The application of polymer composites is very wide. They are used in almost all areas of manufacturing.
Examples of product varieties:

• composites with increased mechanical strength,
• composites with reduced flammability, including halogen-free composites, composites with reduced resistivity,
• nanocomposites.
