On September 17, at the headquarters of the Łukasiewicz Research Network—Institute for Renewable Resources Chemistry—a ceremony was held to mark the signing of a strategic partnership agreement between Łukasiewicz and Biprotech sp. z o.o. This company, which is currently part of the international KVT Group, was established to support domestic firms in the design, construction, and development of modern industrial plants and facilities. It specializes in the design of process installations and the supervision of industrial projects. By collaborating with both large corporations and smaller companies, it contributes to the development of an innovative and sustainable industrial sector.
Director Daria Frączak welcomed the event participants, who included representatives from Biprotech sp. z o.o., the Łukasiewicz Center, the institutes of the Łukasiewicz Network, and the institute’s research groups. The meeting began with a presentation on the activities of Łukasiewicz–ICSO, prepared by Dr. Damian Kiełkiewicz, head of the Advanced Materials and Circular Economy Research Group. Next, Wiesław Skwarko, Vice President of Łukasiewicz, discussed the significance and objectives of the newly established collaboration. The next speaker was Władysław Lewandowski, President of the Management Board of Biprotech sp. z o.o., followed by Marta Błachowska, Sales & Business Development Manager, who presented the company’s business profile and its most significant achievements. Dr. Andrzej Krueger then presented the objectives of the strategic partnership.
The documents regarding strategic cooperation and confidentiality were signed by President Władysław Lewandowski, while Vice President Wiesław Skwarko signed them on behalf of Łukasiewicz.
The agreements reached open up prospects for further development of cooperation in the area of creating and implementing new technologies. The combination of the scientific and research potential of the Łukasiewicz Research Network with the engineering and technological expertise of Biprotech, as well as the resources of the KVT Group, may lead to the implementation of innovative projects of significant importance to industry.
After the official portion of the event concluded, the participants were invited to a group lunch, and then had the opportunity to tour Łukasiewicz–ICSO, which serves as the lead institute in the partnership with Biprotech.
