We are very pleased to announce that Ilona Scudło, a senior specialist in the Specialty Formulations Research Group, has defended with distinction her doctoral dissertation entitled. “Functionalized carbon nanomaterials as refining components of industrial lubricants”.
The paper was prepared under the guidance of Prof. PhD, DsC Eng. Slawomir Boncel of the Department of Chemistry at the Silesian University of Technology. Its goal was to develop modified carbon nanotubes and nanographene to form stable dispersions in hydrocarbon bases such as mineral oils for tribological applications.
