SCIENTIFIC ACTION IN THE FRAMEWORK OF THE MINIATURA 8 PROGRAMME

Beneficiary Name: Łukasiewicz Research Network – “Blachownia” Institute of Heavy Organic Synthesis

Grant Agreement No.: DEC-2024/08/X/ST4/01731

Project value: 49 855,00 zł

Grant amount: 49 855,00 zł

Project period: 10.12.2024 – 09.12.2025

Project Objective:

During the process of producing dialkyl terephthalates from waste PET, the formation of unexpected byproducts was observed, for which reference standards are difficult to obtain. The objective of this project is to determine the ECN values for these substances and, based on these values, to perform a precise quantitative analysis of mixtures from PET alcoholysis using the GC/FID method. The project also plans to determine the impact of the equipment used on the measured parameters. The research results will be an important contribution to the development of the ECN concept and will expand its scope of application in monitoring newly developed chemical processes relevant to organic synthesis.
