The progress of biodegradation of the polymers will be monitored using manometric techniques, including the measurement of pressure or oxygen consumption in a closed respirometer, based on the ISO 17556 standard. The first phase will involve recreating drought conditions in a natural environment for different soil fertility classes. In the next phase, we will investigate how biodegradation occurs under waterlogging conditions, with high humidity and partially restricted access to oxygen. This will allow us to assess the suitability of such polymers for modern agriculture and plan further research in future projects.
The total amount of funding granted for the project's implementation is 46,750 PLN.
