Two researchers from the Łukasiewicz Research Network – ICSO "Blachownia" have been appointed to the Advisory Team for Research Infrastructure of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education!

New Members of the Advisory Team for Research Infrastructure of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education

By the decision of the Minister of Science and Higher Education, Dariusz Wieczorek, Dr. Zofia Hordyjewicz-Baran has been appointed to the Advisory Team for Research Infrastructure. She serves as the Leader of the Analytics Research Group at Łukasiewicz – ICSO "Blachownia." She is a graduate of the master's program at Opole University, specializing in Basic and Applied Chemistry, and completed her doctoral studies at the University of Potsdam, conducting research at the Max Planck Institute as part of the EU Marie Curie Research and Training Network. She possesses extensive knowledge in managing research projects and commercializing research results. Dr. Hordyjewicz-Baran is a co-author of 8 patents, 18 patent applications, and 29 scientific articles that are indexed in the Journal Citation Reports (h-index 11).

Prof. Dr. Eng. Tomasz Wasilewski from the Faculty of Applied Chemistry at the University of Radom has also been appointed to the team. He has been closely collaborating with our institute on research projects for many years, mainly related to the development of cosmetics and detergents. He also is a member of the Institute Council. Most importantly, he is a long-time academic lecturer; during his career, he has also served as the Dean of the Faculty of Applied Chemistry. He collaborates with scientific entities such as the Military Institute of Hygiene and Epidemiology and the Research Institute of Daily Chemical Industry in Taiyuan (China). He is also the Director of Research and Development at the cosmetic company Onlybio.life S.A. He is the author of 40 patents (including international ones) and over 160 scientific articles.

The members of the advisory team will assess applications for funding for investments related to scientific activities, the maintenance of scientific research equipment or research positions, unique facilities on a national scale, and special IT infrastructure that are crucial for the implementation of the country's scientific policy.
