Advanced Materials Research Group of Łukasiewicz Research Network – The Institute of Heavy Organic Synthesis
"Blachownia" specializes in:

• developing technologies for producing and modifying epoxy, phenolic and lignin resins,
• developing technologies for manufacturing polyurethanes (isocyanate and non-isocyanate),
• modification and processing of materials based on thermoplastic polymers, such as polyolefins or PVC,
  as well as biobased plastics like PLA or polysaccharides,
• biobased coatings formulations,
• development of recipes for new kinds of fiber-reinforced, multi-material and high-filled composites,
• plastics recycling.

OUR IDEA

Within the scope of the Call we propose development of circular and SSbD bio-based insulating foams dedicated
for construction & building materials with functional properties such as flame retardancy. Another idea is to
develop formaldehyde-free, lignin-based binder compositions for indoor wood panels. We are also able to
develop functional bio-based additives dedicated for bio-polymers (plasticizers, stabilizers, flame retardants or
wetting agents).
