High Pressure Processes Research Group
The scope of activities includes advanced pressure processes, particularly related to hydrogen technologies, oxyalkylation, and petrochemical and carbochemical processes. The group possesses unique equipment for simulating continuous hydrogen processes at pressures up to 300 bar, enabling the testing of both suspension and fixed-bed catalysts, also at a pilot scale.
Key hydrogen technologies include:
- development of heterogeneous catalysts,
- production of renewable and synthetic fuels,
- synthesis of sustainable raw materials for the chemical industry,
- production of cosmetic ingredients,
- non-phthalate plasticizers,
- extension of the OXO synthesis value chain.
Specialization:
- hydrogen process technologies,
- oxyalkylation processes of organic raw materials, including natural and waste products,
- high-pressure chemical syntheses,
- chemical syntheses using process gases,
- catalysts for oxyalkylation processes,
- testing the activity and longevity of catalysts working in catalytic beds or suspensions,
- simulations of high-pressure processes (including hydrogen) at laboratory and pilot scales,
- hydrorefining of hydrocarbon fractions, including petrochemical and carbochemical,
- synthesis and production of non-ionic surfactants and cosmetic ingredients,
- development of formulations and methods for marketable and industrial final products.
The group offers modern technological solutions that support sustainable development and innovation in the chemical industry, making it an ideal partner for research and industrial collaboration.
