Analytical Chemistry Research Group

Analytical Chemistry Research Group

The group’s activities cover analytics and measurements, including scientific research as well as services in the field of physicochemical analyses, identification and structural studies, environmental analytics, and ecotoxicological testing.

Areas of Specialization:

Comprehensive research analytics is carried out using advanced and complementary instrumental techniques, including: gas chromatography (GC, GC/Headspace) with TCD, FID, MS, and MS/MS detection; liquid chromatography (HPLC) with UV, RI, FLD, ELSD, CAD, and ion trap MS/MS detection; gel permeation chromatography (GPC) with UV and RI detection; UV/VIS spectroscopy; Fourier-transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR); thermal analysis including thermogravimetry and differential scanning calorimetry (TG/DSC); total organic carbon (TOC) analysis; CNSCl elemental analysis; and optical microscopy.

Studies Conducted in Compliance with Good Laboratory Practice (GLP):

  • physicochemical property testing,
  • studies on the behavior of substances in water, soil, and air, including biodegradation testing,
  • pesticide residue testing (analytical part),
  • other studies: chemical analyses.

Research Services Include:

  • physicochemical analyses,
  • studies of phase transitions and chemical reaction pathways,
  • analytical control of technological processes,
  • identification and structural analyses,
  • studies for the registration of plant protection products and biocidal products,,
  • determination of contaminants (pesticides and poly- and perfluoroalkyl substances, PFAS) in liquid and solid samples,
  • detection of substances of very high concern (SVHC) in products,
  • analysis of bioactive compounds and sugars in samples of various origins,
  • testing of auxiliary agents used in different branches of industry,
  • physicochemical testing of household chemical products,
  • performance testing of cleaning and laundry agents,
  • preparation of safety data sheets,
  • consultations and training in analytical chemistry,
  • other services in the field of analytics and measurements.
