Project Objective:

Development of production technology for manufacturing high fire impedance board based on raw materials available in the EU.

The research work carried out at Lukasiewicz – ICSO concerns the formulation and method of obtaining a flame-retardant water-repellent emulsion used in the production of wood-based panels. The composition of the emulsion will be composed on a wax-water basis and will be enriched with new flame retardant substances – antipirens based on phosphates or other compounds. As a result of the project, a flame-retardant water-repellent emulsion will be obtained, giving the wood-based panels produced using it mechanical and fire-resistant properties at a level acceptable to potential customers.
