The first involves developing technologies for the production and modification of synthetic resins (epoxy, phenolic, and polyurethane). The second focuses on the processing of thermoplastic materials (polyolefins, PVC) and bio-based materials. The work covers both synthetic biopolymers (PLA, TPS) and natural biopolymers such as chitosan and starch. The Group also conducts extensive research on plastics recycling in line with the principles of the circular economy.<\/p><p>The team has broad expertise in designing, synthesizing, and characterizing polymer materials with defined performance parameters. Its research activities are grounded in a comprehensive analysis of structure\u2013property relationships across a wide range of polymeric materials, supported by extensive experimental work.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-7586bd54 elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"7586bd54\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h3 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Areas of Specialization:<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-703f4e2b elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"703f4e2b\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<ul><li>Technologies for producing basic epoxy resins and glycidyl ethers from biomass and fossil-based raw materials, along with their chemical modification for various applications such as composites and prepregs based on natural feedstocks, coatings, and adhesives. The team participated in the ESTELLA project (Horizon Europe), which developed composite materials based on recyclable epoxy vitrimers,<\/li><li>Synthesis of phenol\u2013formaldehyde resins and formaldehyde\u2011free, lignin\u2011based resins for applications such as natural\u2011fiber\u2011reinforced gelcoats, particleboards, waterproof plywood, wood\u2011wool boards, and foams,<\/li><li>Synthesis of fully biobased non\u2011isocyanate polyurethanes (NIPU).
